Miller Adapting to New Evo

Jason Miller and Dylan Thomas will start ninth on the grid for tomorrow’s Sydney Motorsport Park 4 Hour production car endurance race, after working to find a comfortable handling balance in qualifying today.

Miller completed the bulk of practice running, concentrating on adapting to the team’s new Mitsubishi Evo X.

“The car is much stiffer compared to the previous Evo IX, and we were working on a few challenges with ride control over the bumps in some of the braking zones,” Miller said.

“The car felt quite hoppy through some corners, so we didn’t achieve the ultimate lap time in qualifying,” Thomas added.

“We’ve made some changes in the interests of finding a race setup that will be easy to drive for both of us – hopefully we can make up some places with some good strategy tomorrow.”

The four-hour race is scheduled to start at 1:26pm.
