Brett Holdsworth Eager for Trans Am Night Qualifying

After electing to sit out the Easter round at Bathurst, TPS Racing’s Brett Holdsworth returns to the field for round four of the Trans Am national series at Sydney Motorsport Park this weekend, with competitors set to experience qualifying under lights on Friday night.

Holdsworth picked up a podium in the opening race of the season at Symmons Plains Raceway and has recorded five top 10 finishes across the two rounds he has run so far. After missing the Bathurst round, he is looking forward to returning to the track.

“I have a lot of commitments this year and I wanted a bit of family time over Easter. So I took that break over Bathurst to spend time with my family,” said Holdsworth.

Holdsworth returns with renewed vigour for Sydney Motorsport Park, a place where he has had strong previous form.

“Eastern Creek is one of my favourite tracks, I’ve had good results in the past in a number of series such as Commodore Cup so it’s always great to race there,” he said.

“The schedule is really interesting and the night-time session on Friday is going to be awesome, I haven’t raced under lights since my karting days about 25 years ago so it’s going to be pretty cool. Hopefully, the fans get around it and come check it out. My parents are coming down as well, which is great as they haven’t been to the track in a while.”

Round four of the Trans Am season is running at Sydney Motorsport Park from April 30 – May 2.
