ASM Supports International Porsche Racers

Ashley Seward Motorsport is excited to be supporting the father-and-son combination of Stephen and Brenton Grove in Round 6 of the Porsche PAYCE Carrera Cup Australia at The Bend Motorsport Park next weekend.

Brenton Grove will make the cameo Carrera Cup appearance in preparation for his debut in the Porsche Supercup, where he will compete at the world-famous Spa Francorchamps circuit at the end of the month. At The Bend, he will drive the ASM car campaigned by Leanne Tander, Alex Davison and Glen Wood over the course of the 2018 season, along with Dylan O’Keeffe at the Australian Grand Prix this year.

Meanwhile, Stephen Grove will also receive technical, engineering and trackside support from ASM at The Bend.

ASM team owner Ashley Seward said he is excited to be working with the Groves in their return to the Aussie Carrera Cup scene.

“I’ve watched Brenton race in a number of categories – he has an analytical approach to his racing, and is good at adapting to different vehicles, so we’re looking forward to having him in our car at The Bend,” Seward said.

“The Porsche Supercup is the most competitive one-make series in the world, and the level of competition is extremely high, so we’ll be doing our best to ensure Brenton is as well-prepared as possible for his outing at Spa.”

Stephen Grove, a three-time champion in the Carrera Cup Australia Pro-Am Class, has been competing full-time in Supercup this season, and Seward said the international experience will serve him well.

“Stephen has established himself as one of the top Pro-Am drivers in the country, and the experience he has gained against the world’s best Porsche racers in Supercup will have only enhanced his abilities,” he said.

“We pride ourselves on our Pro-Am program, ensuring our competitors are enjoying themselves while also maximising their on-track performances. This season, we’ve worked with some fantastic competitors and Stephen will fit right into our team with his professional but fun approach to the sport.”

The Grove father-and-son combination will join ASM regular Dean Cook on the grid at The Bend next weekend.
